Well, I am back into my trianing. It is amazing how much fitness I lost in 8 weeks of no running (and to be honest, not much running really for about 4 weeks before that!) However, it is slowly coming back.
I was pretty slow to start with, but my long run yesterday was notably faster than last week (with more climbing) so there's hope! I have lots of racing plans, so I'm hoping my fitness comes back pretty quickly now.
Running is enjoyable now, which is great: it helps that the weather is so lovely. I do prefer summer, with the longer days and warmer weather. I get up early to run anyway, so I always beat the main heat of the day. It's just so nice not to have to freeze for teh first couple of kilometres!
Thanks so much for sticking with me whilst I kind of went into hibernation and dropped off the radar a bit. I will start posting more regularly now!
